Íàñòîÿùèé ñòàíäàðò óñòàíàâëèâàåò òåðìèíû è îïðåäåëåíèÿ ïîíÿòèé ýëåêòðè÷åñêîé ÷àñòè ýëåêòðîñòàíöèè è ýëåêòðè÷åñêîé ñåòè.
Òåðìèíû, óñòàíîâëåííûå íàñòîÿùèì ñòàíäàðòîì, îáÿçàòåëüíû äëÿ ïðèìåíåíèÿ âî âñåõ âèäàõ äîêóìåíòàöèè è ëèòåðàòóðû, âõîäÿùèõ â ñôåðó ðàáîò ïî ñòàíäàðòèçàöèè è èñïîëüçóþùèõ ðåçóëüòàòû ýòîé ðàáîòû.
Íàñòîÿùèé ñòàíäàðò äîëæåí ïðèìåíÿòüñÿ ñîâìåñòíî ñ ÃÎÑÒ 19431 è ÃÎÑÒ 21027.
1. Äëÿ êàæäîãî ïîíÿòèÿ óñòàíîâëåí îäèí ñòàíäàðòèçîâàííûé òåðìèí.
2. Çàêëþ÷åííàÿ â êðóãëûå ñêîáêè ÷àñòü òåðìèíà ìîæåò áûòü îïóùåíà ïðè èñïîëüçîâàíèè òåðìèíà â äîêóìåíòàõ ïî ñòàíäàðòèçàöèè.
Íàëè÷èå êâàäðàòíûõ ñêîáîê â òåðìèíîëîãè÷åñêîé ñòàòüå îçíà÷àåò, ÷òî â íåå âêëþ÷åíû äâà òåðìèíà, èìåþùèå îáùèå òåðìèíîýëåìåíòû.
 àëôàâèòíîì óêàçàòåëå äàííûå òåðìèíû ïðèâåäåíû îòäåëüíî ñ óêàçàíèåì íîìåðà îäíîé ñòàòüè.
3. Ïðèâåäåííûå îïðåäåëåíèÿ ìîæíî ïðè íåîáõîäèìîñòè èçìåíÿòü, ââîäÿ â íèõ ïðîèçâîäíûå ïðèçíàêè, ðàñêðûâàÿ çíà÷åíèÿ èñïîëüçóåìûõ â íèõ òåðìèíîâ, óêàçûâàÿ îáúåêòû, âõîäÿùèå â îáúåì îïðåäåëÿåìîãî ïîíÿòèÿ, èçìåíåíèÿ íå äîëæíû íàðóøàòü îáúåì è ñîäåðæàíèå ïîíÿòèé, îïðåäåëåííûõ â äàííîì ñòàíäàðòå.
4.  ñòàíäàðòå ïðèâåäåíû èíîÿçû÷íûå ýêâèâàëåíòû ñòàíäàðòèçîâàííûõ òåðìèíîâ íà íåìåöêîì (de), àíãëèéñêîì (en) è ôðàíöóçñêîì (fr) ÿçûêàõ.
